LG GH22NS40 22x DVD±RW SATA Dual Layer ReWriter (Black) - OEM

tbh i agree with biz.kid09 100% on what hes put.. thats what ild do but if you do that youll need a bigger case. I doubt the grpahics card would fit in a CM 330

Just noticed the mobo is dual channel not trichannel and you have trichannel memory selected

Ditch the overly expensive corsair mem with its eyecandy fan and get

Geil Ultra 2133mhz

Edit ill post a spec build in a few mins, whats he using it for?

made the changes suggested.

will i need a new case if i pick a 5870? also they are only on pre order at ocuk how long will i have to wait??

changed ram also.

usage will be mostly gaming.

thanks

Im at the top fo the budget but this is a very nice build and will butcher anything you throw at it and its got a edge of quality about it with a nice lian li case.
This should ruin most games except crisis which nothing will run lol

The GD80 mobo has a nice 1 touch oc feature (OCGENIE) on the mobo so itll clock to 3.4-3.5ghz stable approx with the press of 1 button

New cards come in stock all the time so keep watching them and if the asus isnt in stock change it for another 5870 brand before ordering. The DVD drive is OOS at the moment too but theres the 7241s version instock which has lightscribe

Shippings free for you too

Asus ATI Radeon HD 5870 1024MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card
Samsung SM2433BW 24" Widescreen LCD Monitor
Asus Crosshair III Formula AMD 790FX (Socket AM3) PCI-Express DDR3 Motherboard
Zalman ZM850-HP Heatpipe Cooled 850W Modular Power Supply
AMD Phenom II X3 Tri Core 720 Black Edition 2.80GHz (Socket AM3) - Retail
Geil Ultra Series 4GB (2x2GB) PC3-17000 2133MHz Dual Channel Kit (GU34GB2133C9DC) - OEM
Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium - Retail
Seagate Barracuda 7200.12 1TB SATA-II 32MB Cache - OEM (ST31000528AS)
Asus Xonar DX 7.1 PCI-Express Sound Card (90-YAA060-1UAN00Z)
Thermalright Ultra-120 Extreme Rev.C (Socket 1366 / 775 / AM2 / AM2+ / AM3)
Coolermaster Elite 330 Midi Tower Case - Black (No PSU)
LG GH22NS40 22x DVD±RW SATA Dual Layer ReWriter (Black) - OEM
Arctic Silver 5 Thermal Compound (3.5g)

its a bit cheaper at £1,295 inc VAT

which would you choose?

If your going AMD route get a quad cpu and your going to need to change the case. The 5870 is about 10.5-11 inches long and I wouldnt expect it to fit in the CM 330.

Also the crosshair III comes with its own sound card but i dont know what the quality is like but its an option to drop the additional soundcard in your build

sound card dropped (i can add one later if needed)

have changed to the case you use above and changed to AMD Phenom II X4 Quad Core 965 Black Edition 3.40GHz (Socket AM3)

total of £1,370 inc VAT.

thanks

Ditch the seagate 1tb drive for the samsung f3 1tb, its a faster and better drive. Do that and you have a very nice build

But to be honest if its for gaming go with my spec build the i7 860 handles games better

PreOrder just means they're out of stock at that point in time. The 5xxx series is flying off the shelves faster than hot cakes, but they get deliveries every few days or so.
