Hi all, been about 8 years since I built my current pc.. still works ok for general office based stuff but the cpu is getting on (4690K) and no dedicated GPU which is annoying as I do a lot more video editing and constantly have to use proxies to get any sense in premier etc. Don't currently game much but my brother does and i'm keen to try a few games on the new pc.

Here are some thoughts and potential basket below...

the case I like the aesthetics of. The cpu seems like a solid option for photo video editing and anything else I throw at it. Wasn't really sure about motherboard, but this looks good enough... Memory, I've been reading tonnes on here..but still not sure! Like I say, not super experienced overclocking, but happy to make minor tweaks. I can't justify crazy spending on the whole system but want 'good' components. nvme just seeems like a good option. I store most of my files on large external drives. I like the look of AIO cooler, think the case can handle 240 or even 280 mounted on side. Maybe the 280 NZXT would fit on side instead of 240. or perhaps should stick with Lian li 240?

My brother has a spare aorus 3080 as he got two when things went crazy on launch. I fully expect this to be overkill for me, but can't see many mid range alternatives on the market just now..

Finally, PSU - looks like I will need SFX psu...no idea what one...850w i'm guessing.

Sorry, long post..but any help appreciated to get a decent build.
Cheers,

Thanks for the reply.

I thought atx could fit fine, or perhaps it's still tight? It looked like the only issue was placing a big rad on top?

I just liked the case to be honest, the small size did look.nuve compared to it's big brother.

Thanks for the info on ram / psu.
