Building a rig for my brother with a budget of £1k. He needs everything apart from the OS (so include monitor, keyboard, mouse etc). It will be used for general internet and moderate gaming. It needs to be quiet (hence the H60 and Apache fan) and preferrably no LEDs.

Here is a quick spec I came up with. Any suggestions on how to improve this for the money or reduce the cost without too much of a performance hit? Is everything compatible? I'm not up to speed with motherboards - it would be useful to have a board that will take Ivybridge a few years down the road and capacity to add another GTX480.

Cheers Stulid. Are the CPU cooler and case fans likely to make it a more noisy system?

Can the case fan LEDs be easily turned off?

Thanks Stulid.

I did consider a 560ti (448 core) instead of the 480 but benchmarks show that the 480 is slightly more powerful and is cheaper, although more noisey under load. Assume this is correct?

Is there an alternate case I could consider? I really want to avoid LEDs if possible, but at the same time have something with some cable management and decent airflow potential.
