Hi guys, i have a friend who wants to build a new pc and he has a budget of about £1200 monitor included but he does not need peripherals. Can anyone spec him a gaming pc within this budget. Cheers:)

Hi

Here is a Ryzen R5 1600 build with an RX 580 and 24" 1080p Freesync Monitor.

My basket at Overclockers UK:

Total: £1,211.69 (includes shipping: £15.90)

Your friend can claim two free games from the link below. There is also a game called Everspace included as well.

The RX 580 also comes with Quake Champions.

He might need to buy a Display port cable, depending on what comes with the Monitor to get the 144Hz refresh rate.

For about £1200:

My basket at Overclockers UK:

Total: £1,248.26 (includes shipping: £22.50)

  • Ryzen benefits greatly from fast RAM with low CL latency - this RAM is exactly that.
  • Solid PSU, 5 year warranty highly efficient and from a respected brand
  • Fairly new monitor. Decent colour accuracy for a TN monitor, comes with backlight strobing and FreeSync (so pairs with RX 580).
  • RX 580 with a good cooler, decent warranty.
  • Very good case for the price. Comes with 2 decent fans pre-installed and is sound-dampened.

Also, I would wait on the CPU, motherboard etc until Monday:

Remember the big one is coming Monday, shall be live at 8am, just to give you a little heads up of what to expect, lets just say:
  • 1950X at £729.99
  • 1800X under £300
  • VEGA 56 reduced
  • VEGA 64 reduced
  • RX 580 reduced
  • Motherboards reduced
  • Coolers reduced
  • More memory kits reduced
