Spec Me £175ish best 2gb Kit Ram

For a mate... £175 budget, whats the best.

I was thinking along the lines of the Mushy Black at £170inc PC4000 but i've read that he may be better off with something like the PC3200 OCZ Platinum because of the tighter timings and then running a divider.

Well, you have no doubt read my posts judging by your post .

Tight timings is all I will say .

And if anyone asks why I'm using CAS3 (looser timings), then my response is this: I was clocking my X2 and was just going for an easy clock without using dividers. I got it stable at 2.8ghz (this being my first ever to reach this speed) and quite frankly, I don't want to touch it!! I'd have to re-prime etc on a divider which I cannot be bothered to do at the second!
