What monitor do you plan to use, what resolution and is it 60hz or 120hz, single or multi monitor?

For a single 1080p monitor the Nvidia GTX 660 2gb cards are pretty much all many need, playable frame rates with all new game titles including Crysis 3 at high settings.

Other than that, currently the GTX 770 is worth considering over the 7970, though with a single monitor a cheaper 7950 or GTX 670 may be better value as it is claimed they only lose around 10% performance.

An Intel processor will be better than the AMD you are looking at, you will need no more than 8gb or ram, standard 1600Mhz is all you need. Motherboard choice for Haswell I would say google for any reviews, I personally like the RoG MicroATX.

Intel Core i5-4670K 3.40GHz (Haswell) Socket LGA1150 Processor - Retail £197.99

Gigabyte Z87-HD3 Intel Z87 (Socket 1150) DDR3 ATX Motherboard £95.99

Crucial Ballistix Sport 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit £43.99

Sorry, I do not know how to make a post with the price link as above :(
