SPEC ME: <1kg laptop - < £450 - 6hr battery

I need a new laptop for my son to take to school.

The laptop must be light, less than 1kg would be awesome, less than £450, and must have a battery life that will last a school day.

Chromebook, Windows, or MAC considered......what would you guys recommend?

Cheers, went for an Acer Spin 311 chromebook as wanted something that booted fast with excellent battery life and weight. So far so good!
