Hi guys,
Its my birthday soon and the missus wants to get me 2 new monitors ;)
I am looking at getting two 24" screens but its been a while since I purchased a screen. I am currently using a 24" Dell 2407WFP which is absolutely flawless and has served me well. I also have a second 19" Dell 1907.

I see from reading a bit that most 24" monitors are no longer 1920x1200 and are instead 1920x1080. This I am assuming is going to be 16:9 instead of the 16:10 I am used to.

The LED's also seem to be taking over the LCD's.

So basically if someone could spec me a couple of decent monitors, preferably no more than £200.00 per monitor.

I'm a gamer so ideally suited for that purpose please

cheers

Is it your plan to play games over 2 or 3 monitors (incorporating the old one)?

Gaming over 2 monitors would be odd with the bezels in the middle and I'm not sure it's even supported well or at all.

If you want to play games over 3 monitors I believe this requires all the monitors to operate at the same resolution.

I intend to sell both the Dell's I own so I wont be keeping one for a 3 monitor setup.

I just want both monitors to have the same res so I can stretch my desktop etc.

Thanks Jase for that link, tempted to order three of them & use them in portrait mode, as space is a bit tight on the desk for landscape setup.

They don't rotate so you'll have to use a different stand using the VESA mounting.

Do you have the appropriate graphics card(s) to run 3 monitors?

Also are they a TN panel? They can look pretty poor when rotated due to the viewing angles.

Well theres been a slight change.

Been looking at the Dell U2412M as that way I dont have to sell my current 2407WFP and they will both have the same resolution 1920x1200.

One thing that concerns me a little though is the 8ms response time on the U2412M which is 2ms slower than the older 2407WPS.

The IIyama is very good, my mate owns one and it is the best quality monitor Iv'e seen in a long time. also the response time is amazing and there definitely worth it.

Its going to be biased, for me 2 x U2410's in portrait

Edit: scratch that (200 budget) - U2412M? as has been suggested?
