Spec me 5.1 speakers.

Well all I'm saying is that 50 quid 5.1 gets you something quite rubbish...
And having 2 5.1 sets in 1 room :eek:?
Could move stuff about to adjust for sharing.


Sorry to not be of any more help, but when I first went 5.1 I got some very cheap 5.1 speakers, and tbh, it was a downgrade from my 2.1...

I know, crazy. :D Speakers all around my room. I think these will be a good upgrade from my X-140 speakers. I could probably buy my current 5.1 speakers(Z680 )for around £50 now.

Where from???

I've been looking for a set of Z680's for aaaaages, would be good so I don't have to cart these Z5500's back at holidays :p

Z680 is hard to find now a days. I got these from Alienware 5 years ago.

Yea they are apparently more powerful than the Z5500 in terms of bass output too. Not that I need anything more here, I tried em last night and I woke a flatmate up, she had to go push everything back on her shelves as it was jumping off, she must have been raging, I said sorry though.

So where can you get em for 50 quid?
 
I was just guessing they would cost around £50 now. Don't know how much they actually cost these days. I searched google, but no one is selling.

The bass is insane, even my sisters £500 system in her car doesn't match them.

I'm surprised at that am sure a cheapo 30 quid 12" sub from a well known competitor would easily outdo it :p

I'll have to keep my eyes open on the bay :D
 
Just received my X-540's and can't say I'm impressed. Sound isn't much better than my 2.1 speakers that I bought for £10, maybe even worse. Will be returning them.

EDIT: Alittle change of the settings and the speakers are starting to sound pretty impressive. Can't get matrix mode or headphones to work though. :(

2ND EDIT: Finally figured out how to set this up and the sound is amazing! At first the sound was abit muffled but I just had to change a bunch of settings. Now I don't have to return them. Now I have 12 speakers & 2 subs in my room. lol.:)
