I would like the closest to LG-CX55 in features but without the risk of screen burn, mainly because the wife will leave it on pause for half an hour at a time and I'll end up rage quitting my marriage.

Use case is general TV with PS5 gaming.

Budget £1k

You get warranty on many of them now for that.

Not for burn in you don't. You can buy it separately from JL for about £80.

OP I'd still buy the LG OLED. You can set a screensaver to deal with the risk of leaving it on pause. Burn in is uncommon and they're as good as it gets for gaming.

Yea, I've got a CX48 so I'd be more than happy to pick up another at 55", I'm just a bit concerned about the burn in. It doesn't bother me with the CX48 as it's only me that uses it.

If it were me the Sony X90J is probably what i'd choose. I previously had it short listed, but LG came in with some quality discounts making this one more expensive, as was the Panasonics and Samsung choices.

I've opted for the CX55 from John Lewis @£999 and also the £80 screen burn cover (5 years). I already have a CX48 so I know how good the screens are.

Thanks all for the replies. :)
