Hi guys, putting a computer together for a friend and have a £600 budget this includes monitor, keyboard and mouse. No OS needed.
The rig is only going to be used for light gaming games like TF2 and Terraria. Other than that just music, skype and office applications.

Any help would be greatful thanks very much :)

will you be buying it through your account or will your friend be making their own?

i can get this just slightly over budget with the free delivery. it comes with a copy of DIRT 3 too

He can have a monstrous i5 rig with that money :D

He can have a monstrous i5 rig with that money :D

but he wont really benefit from an i5 with what he's doing. either an i3 2100 + cheapo graphics card + SSD, or what ive chosen will be the best option.

if this was for a gaming PC then yes, go for an i5 2500k + decent graphics and lose the SSD, but when the most intensive thing the PC will be playing is TF2 then theres not a lot of point
