Hi I need someone to spec me a gaming system i've already purchased the OC 7900gtx graphics card and have a moniter and cd/dvd rewriter I have a budget of £700-£800 left.
Welcome to the forums. This ought to be suitable and comes in under budget, since you already have the graphics card which is normally one of the most expensive components. With the spare cash you could get a nicer case, faster clocked Ram, larger hard drive or you could buy a more expensive motherboard but I don't think any of the changes you could make will significantly add to the performance of the system

Incidently when it comes to dual core AMD's only go for 3800+ or 4400+ as both clock well and one is venice core the other sandiego ( well two of ) i.e. 512K Cache or 1mb cache. Going for anything else is IMO a waste of money, for instance getting 2.2 out of a 3800+ ( making it I THINK a 4200 ) is easy.
if i where you i would wait for am2 socket, only 4 days left or something like that? the nforce 590 gives big gains when paired with a 7900gtx - according to gibbo
