I have 800quid to spend on a pc - i have hard drives but i need everything else. looking to play all games with it. i would perfer intel cpu if possible.
Edit: Ignore OS in that case. Buy either a better airflow case (for overclocking and expansion), extra hard drives etc. If you could afford the higher end of the CPU coolers, this would give you ample room to overclock. I'd also look at the prices of the 5850's, although driver issues are apparent for some.

I've chosen a 1366 CPU because the socket won't be obsolete next year and the ASUS motherboard because it has the latest USB 3.0 and Sata 6Gp/s plus its a very decent overclocker that should push your i7-930 if you wanted to overclock now or in the future.
