Hi guys, my 50" LG plasma packed up last week and whilst I'm looking to have it repaired I'm also looking for a replacement. I've no idea about the current standards but looking around it seems UHD, HDR are the way to go? Are they really an upgrade to 1080p?
I've got a budget of around £400- £800 to spend on a new set. Preferably cheaper as it's only a bedroom TV which in the future will be used in my shed so standards aren't as important as a living room TV.
Also, John Lewis would be my preferred store so I can get a bit of discount
