You'd be better off with 2x6950s or 2x570s instead of that GTX580 but I understand if you prefer a single GPU solution.

Kingston HyperX isn't the best RAM available at that price, I would get Corsair or G.Skill instead.

Practically any sealed watercooling kit is crap in comparison to custom watercooling or high-end air-cooling.

There is Corsair H100 but when you replace the fans, the cost comes close to EK Watercooling Kits that are infinitely better for their ability to expand the loop.

I say get one the EK HF 240 kit or the custom one made by OcUK, or Silver Arrow if you're not confident with watercooling.

Get a different PSU:

a) you don't need a 850W for a single GPU
b) it's not the best you can get for the money

Replace that Spinpoint F3 1TB with a F4 2TB. You'll value space more once you start running out of it and both drives are very similar performance-wise.

seems you're looking over the gen3 version of the motherboard at less than £10 more.

cpu cooler have alook at the corsair h60 as well.

I know the hyper threading on the i2600k will make the video editing etc faster but its the first time I've read that nvidida gpu would.

Had a look last night and read through all the comments , would this list be a good one then?

When running the gfx cards in crossfire do i need any extra connectors or are they supplied? also do they need any extra cooling?

Comments much appreciated guys

Regards

Michael

Ah ok , will this offer better cooling ?

Would it also be advisable to fork out a bit extra and get the 570s instead of the 6950s?

What resolution are you going to play at?

At a standard 1920x1080, both Crossfire 6950 and GeForce GTX570 SLI should perform similarly.

There are many articles around the web regarding scaling and performance of the cards. The conclusion is that basically the GTX570 will be faster as a single card at 1920x1200 and below and in Crossfire/SLI the cards match their performance so if you're going that route, I would get Crossfire 6950s.

http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/crossfire-sli-3-way-scaling,2865-9.html

I won't advise you on the case since I barely know Silverstone's offerings. :)

Also, get this RAM instead - http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MY-060-GS.

I would also get Thermalright Silver Arrow or custom watercooling kit instead of that Corsair H100.

If you ditch that Corsair H100 cooler and get the RAM I suggested, you'll be £160 under the budget.

For that you can get EK H30 Supreme HF 240 that will be superior to any air-coolers or sealed watercooling solutions. :)

It will be standard res , so it looks like the 6950s are the way to go . I will ditch that cooler and get the ram you suggested.

Could i save and just get the Thermalright Silver Arrow or would you say the water cooling kit is a necessity

Thank again Mr Krugga

Watercooling kit is absolutely not necessary, it's more of a preference thing and your choice depending on cooling needs.

Silver Arrow is a fine cooler and you should go with it if you prefer hassle-free installation. :)

Nope i wont be overclocking anything at the moment , im heading towards the crossfire 6950s if theres not much performance difference between them and the 570s , to say they is a £130 price gap

Will be placing my order tonight , il post up my latest list

Not only that, you'll get 2x Deus Ex Human Revolution and 2x Dirt 3.

If you decide to sell the games, you could possibly get £60-70 on top of that.

Good thinking on the games , that could work out very good.
Heres my latest list , hopfully this one should be a order :)

On a second thought, you're left with £85 overhead plus some £65 in games.

You could add another M4 128GB to your build for that or get a single 256GB one.

It will certainly allow you to install more applications/games on your SSD. :)
