Spec me a £1000 PC Please!

Hi Everyone,

My P4 Extreme Edition (i know its soo old school now) is always getting the BSOD so i think we all can agree its time for it to go.

So, can someone kindly spec me a PC for £1000 please. The main use of the PC is Gaming, Ripping DVD's (if possible BlueRays), Editing Photos using photoshop and everyday daily use. I would also like this to run couple of virtual machines so i can practice on Networking etc.

True, however the i7 will be a lot better for running virtual machines. Both are good systems though.

Gimme about 20mins after I get a break from revision more substantial than 5 mins

EDIT: Didnt see pre-built system part xD Also, guessing can't link to competitors to prove my point?

I would need a monitor, but i have a separate budget for that. the £1000 is just for the system.

Keyboard and mouse i can just buy them at the later date.

Damn straight, but still the point remains. £900 for an i7 system with good graphics is a hard price to beat for a overclocked pre built system.

any comments on this one??? i have been reading couple of reviews about this processor and aparently its bargain for its proce it being a 6 core.

i havent been following the hardware section for a while now.

If i choose the i7 platform which is better from these line ups??
