As title, budget is no more than £1100.

I originally specced myself one up with all the bells and whistles.

Not sure if everything is compatible but i think it might be :)

It will be primarily for university as ill be doing a lot of photoshop/modelling so the 8GB ram and 2600k should do great, along with a top-end GPU.

However it want it also to play BF3 when release, so £1100 budget is great :)

Only thing is i would like the Monitor in too, as i already have the same one bought previously for my current system.

Also i would need a Retail copy of Win7 HP or Pro Squeezed in, probably could compromise somewhere or other.

p.s: If anything, spec me one with monitor and one without, i can weigh up the difference and see which would be preferred.

Thanks very much :)

if your going to university you will probably be able to get a discounted version of windows 7 from there, or from another site ifyou can prove you are a student. my university actually offers win 7 pro for free for all students in the systems engineering area (which has about a billion different degrees in it)

if you are doing 3D modelling then you may be interested to hear that machstudio pro has become free (it was $4000 )

soon you will be able to get free shipping. youve got the posts, but you just need the 90 days (which you must be really close to)

I have free shipping :)

Anyways, would a 560Ti run BF3 or pretty high settings? i want it to be a great machine, to run all of my games near enough max.

Would i need a full 128GB ssd? or could i wait and get one in january?

And hopefully i should get a Win7 code from my university, but as i had already attended to do a Web Development course as part of my college qualification, i might not get a new account as i already have a university pass (probably needs re-activating)

If i did get a new one, great :D

Also is Kingston RAM good? Just i dont see many people use it within their specs :)

Also the OCuK monitor is no good, (no offence OCuk!) just i would like the same monitor as i already have :)

......................................

Anyway, i did a re-spec and i will have some more funds in January from my financial help from Student Finance so i can get my second, and possible and third monitor then :)

The SSD can be upgraded later to a 128GB if necessary.

One thing though is could i get greater performance in terms of GPU with the same value of the 580?

Thanks for the fast response :)

Thats great :)

However i could do with the boost from the 2600k, so i'd have to compromise from somewhere, as im saving like £200 on my case/ssd compared to yours plus i will have a 1tb data-drive.

yeh if you changed the case and the cooler (and ssd if you dont need 120gb), and also the Blu ray drive if you wont use it, then you'll have a chunk left over :)

I guess, i think the spec i replace my original with is quite good, possibly the chosen one unless anyone joins and shows a decent spec, wouldnt mind xfire/sli to boost performance slightly but within the budget :)
