spec me a 2 gig kit please

well my 3200 xms pros are currently priming at home around 233mhz @ 2.5-3-3-6 on a 166 divider i think. I've pushed them up to around 250mhz before but i hadnt tested for stability and not sure what timings they were on now.

I expect to go home and find "execution halted" on my screen but they were running perfectly all day yesterday after some heavy gameage aswell.

So i guess if u'r only overclocking a little the low timings will probly be best but no1 seems to be able to prove which is actually better... timings or mhz? Im under the impression its a nice compromise betweek both. I plan to run a few 1mb superpi's on my gskill (if it works ;) ) to see what produces the best results for my system! Should be a long and boring task but someones gotta do it... lol :rolleyes:

ok thanks, thing is the asrock board is not great for overclocking so maybe i should go for the 4000, i am so confused! :confused:
 
i think if your mobo isnt great for overclocking u should go for the 3200 :P

If your rams not gonna be run too far over 200mhz lower timings would suit u much better!

GEIL value 2GB kit is very good.

Spec is (I think) 3-4-4-8 1T @ 200MHz, I have no problems running mine at 2.5-3-3-7 1T @ 210MHz.

Also, be warned, I'm pretty sure there's a small print with the Corsair CAS2 2GB PC3200 which says for AMD systems it's spec'd at CAS 2.5.

just checked and it says tested on amd and intel at 2-3-3-6 so should be ok

That would explain my timings! Although im using the 1gb kit :confused:
