Spec Me A 2 Player Co-op RPG

Having introduced her to Skyrim, the other half has expressed an interested in playing an RPG together.

The problem is, it needs to be an offline RPG, so not something like WoW, D3 or Guild Wars. Something that's relatively easy to get into for a non-gamer would be better too.

Any suggestions?

I've thought of Diablo 2 and NWN2.
 
Can you do Borderlands offline? i've been really enjoying that online with mate. Not full on RPG but it has kept my intrest for more than an hour.
 
I would be very interested in this too, RPGs are my favourite genre, and finding something to play co-op with my brother would be ace.

I have recently played through System Shock 2 co-op (my bro had an old laptop so new games were a no-go).

Have you played it before? The graphics aren't great but it looks ok with hi res and 8x AA. One of my favourite games of all time, although it is meant to be a single player experience, co-op is still good fun.

I couldn't get into NWN2, hope you fair better.

Are Baldurs Gate 1 + 2 etc too old school for you or your other half?
 
I think BG1 and 2 are a bit too old school, plus D20-based games can be a bit technical and fiddly. Looking for something more akin to WoW or Skyrim for levels of simplicity.

Never played Titan Quest before, good shout! I was tempted to get it in the Steam sale, but it looks like I'm going to have to pay full price now! :(
 
I'm also interested in what people come up with as well. I've never played Titan Quest before and looking at reviews it looks worth a play.
 
most ARPG seem to have a coop mode now - Sacred 2 , Titn quest, Dungeon siege
Definitely recommend Titan Quest :Immortal Throne
 
Titan Quest : Immortal Throne would deffo be worth trying , im pretty sure there is a steam sale next week so it might be worth waiting to see if it's on offer .
 
Likewise my fiancee is looking for something similar to play, so that while I'm playing BF3/DayZ with a friend she can be playing something akin to her gaming ability/enjoyment with my friends fiancee.

the girls are giving LOTRO a go at the minute, not sure it will last. Will investigate titan for them.
