Work is buying me a new monitor so I need to find a 24" and I need to find it quick. Primary uses will be graphic design and gaming. Budget is around £400.

I'm currently using a Dell 2007WFP which I'm quite happy with so I want something similar quality or better.

Don't think it's that bad personally; a little chunky but still OK...

EDIT: That's also based on pictures, not seen one in the flesh.

After reading the main thread on that one, I don't think it's the monitor to me due to the text problems. I'm actually a web developer so I end up spending more time looking at code than I do in photoshop.

....however many comments say it's still better at text than a lot of other monitors (especially once calibrated and ClearType contrast is adjusted).

I am also a developer and so want good text quality, but it seems that text quality isn't top of the list for many manufacturers these days. :(

I was hoping to replace one of my older 24" LCDs but all the negative comments about text issues for various models isn't making selecion easy. There are some expensive Eizo's but given the cost there aren't too many reviews or comments for these.
