Spec me a 29er for 500

The Bizango has a much sexier colour scheme to my eyes, some better kit and is pretty much universally praised.

I guess the question is; can you get a comparable bike for £500 rather than £600.

Sign up to British cycling for £33 and then you can buy the Bizango for £540 (10% off you see) plus you will have basic insurance cover. Definitely worth paying the extra for the Bizango as you gain air suspension that will allow you to adjust it for your body weight plus a nice reliable Shimano hydraulic brake setup. The Maxxis Ardents also get good reviews for being a decent trail tyre.

If you don't mind the idea of a 650B the current offer on the Boardman bikes with the additional 15% off makes the £650 hardtail go down to £500 including British cycling discount.

At the end of the day are you going to be using the bike at trail centres/rough singletrack or is it for cycling around on smoother stuff? If it is just riding round then the Aizan I am sure will be fine. Oh and don't forget if you use quidco you can use it in store for another 2.5% saving.

I got the Trek Marlin 6 last Aug time and its brilliant, done over 800 miles on it and it's still immaculate..

Used it as a commuter before I got my roadie and now I use it when the road bikes off the road or if I sana Gove it a blast on the canal. Genuinely great bike and a steal at £430, why spend more, I'd buy one again.
