The new year is fast approaching and i'm looking to start the year with a new culinary flare.

I intend to eat more proper meals rather than just grabbing something because its quick and I cant be bothered to cook and i intend to at least eat a bit healthier.

For this i need a new saucepan set. Budget is £120 max and ideally im looking for something like a 5 pan set, Eg a small, medium saucepan and maybe a tall saucepan, a skillet and the 5th being dealers choice.

I'd go for Meyer Circulon Infinite over pretty much anything else non-stick.

The range lacks a decent wok and the milk-pan is just a shorter version of the 16cm saucepan, but it'll last years if cared for properly and it's all heavy-based, thick-gauge, quality cookware. Plus there's a lifetime guarantee as well, which is a nice reassurance to have.

And unlike something like, say, GreenPan, the Circulon range stays pretty much the same year-on-year so you won't find they've discontinued your favourite pan should you knacker one in years to come.

And if you're wanting non-stick, Lakeland's My Kitchen range is worth a look as well - as is the Raymond Blanc range. I prefer the Lakeland pans to the Anolon ones, but given the choice I'd still buy the Circulon set - and I did.

Should you want mainly non-stick, the MasterChef range is actually rather decent and has a good selection to choose from, but is quite expensive. Same goes for the John Lewis Classic II range.

Meyer Anolon Professional set. You won't get better for the money, they really are excellent pans and used by many professionals and any serious home cook.

Just do a search on this forum and you'll see how highly praised they are.

Hmm i cna pick up the 4 piece set for the Meyer Raymond Blanc by Anolon collection for £99 at debenhams if i use the bf67 10% off code, time to see if i can find it cheaper

I have the Raymond Blanc set and it's been brilliant. Only had it a few months though and haven't used anything else to compare it against. But I bought it when it was on sale in Debenhams plus voucher code and cashback meant it cost just a bit over £75! Great price!

I wouldn't recommend the Anolon set, we've had it for approx 4 years now and the coating is coming off our most used pans. We treat them very carefully so can only assume its down to poor quality.

Anolon by Raymond Blanc. Really pleased with our set (that said, only had them for 9months)
