I currently have 2x 20" Dell 2007FWP monitors running at 1680x1050 resolution on each, but Ive been thinking about getting a 3rd monitor to add to this setup.
As I dont have a huge amount of room in my case, I cant add a 2nd GFX card for crossfire so Im thinking that a new GFX card is also in order in order to be able to run an eyefinity setup. Something like the ATI 5870;

I don't really know much about eyefinity other than I think at least one of the monitors needs a DisplayPort connector or active adapter.
Also my other dilemma is what should the 3rd monitor be? I dont want to splash out on 3 new monitors and junk the two existing ones, but it seems that there isnt much choice in the 20" 1680x1050 resolution range these days.
Do you have to have three identical monitor resolutions for eyefinity? Or could I go for something like a 24" at 1920x1080 for the centre monitor and have the two smaller ones off to the side?
Anyone have any experience of this, or thoughts and recommendations? Would it look a bit kooky having one larger monitor in the middle? Any help is appreciated!
