Your saying all golfs, fiestas and escorts that are 15- 25 years old are rot boxes and have been abused?

You must understand how this looks - you recently started a 17 page thread which detailed how terrible your finances were. The overwhelming majority suggested you take it easy with your money and stop taking loans out, to which you flippantly and mockingly responded with "lol i bet all you guys are people that save for 3 years for a car lol" and "just live a little!!". You must understand that your reputation on here has suffered as a result of this.

Then you start a thread about "how you don't want any rotboxes" and say you want a 20 year old Escort RS turbo or a Mk1 Fiesta. We facepalmed for two reasons:

a) Clearly the LAST thing you need is a 20 year old RS Turbo as old, powerful Fords are often very expensive to run. You've demonstrated that you are, to be blunt, crap with money and you are currently recovering from your last impulsive buy (a £10k Citroen wasn't it?)

b) You said you didn't want a rotbox and you listed 3 cars which are renound for being rotboxes. This was a combined rofl and facepalm.

e-thuggery? lmao, first of all I don't own a credit card so its an irrelevant comment. Secondly I asked for someone to spec me a car not for insults or people posting childish comments because they have nothing better to do...

So if you don't have anything useful to add, please bugger off and post elsewhere you child.

you can have a reliable 20 year old car? Why do preople presume once a car is over 10 years old it automatically becomes unreliable? I didnt ask for these sorts of comments, i asked for someone to spec me car.

I had an Escort RS turbo S2 that never broke down. I owned this car for 2 years and it didnt have a single piece of rot on it. I also owned two minis that never broke down, never had an problems with and always got me to work and back.

He is spot on, in your financial state buying a 20 year old car and running the risk of an unexpected bill isn't sensible.

You must surely be able to see why people will question your request for a 20 year old car when you have said you want something reliable..

Why does everyone take advice so personally. If you don't want to hear what other people say, don't ask them.
