So i currently drive a 350z but it's just so impractical i'm getting sick of it. It barely fits my snowboard/kiteboard gear, it gets stuck in the snow all the time and it's too low for some of the dirt tracks to the beach.

So can the OcUK experts reccomend something?

1. 4x4 with low gears preferably
2. Relatively fast (~200bhp)
3. Nice inside with toys
4. around 20-30k

I'm thinking a nearly new Navara, a RRS although the SDV6 would blow my budget, a S4 Avant looks fun but might be a bit old. Anything else i should look at?

I think you need to decide if you want a 4wd car or an SUV tbh. If the route to the beach requires high ground clearance its gotta be an SUV or perhaps a a4/6 all road with raisable air suspension.

I'd guess any 4wd car or SUV will do better than a 350z for what you you need.

Also a low box is usually associated with proper off roaders and you won't see that in a car or soft roader. You probably don't need one either.

Lol, made my day :D Good effort using a 350z for that sort of work!

Sounds like you should probably avoid cars like the S4 if you're worried about ground clearance and stick to an 'actual' 4x4, but I've never looked at them so will leave advice to come from elsewhere..

I can't recommend our Nissan Murano highly enough.
Its Sooo comfy on long drives and has all the toys.

And well in budget.

Not the fastest thing in the world. But can still get you into trouble if you don't watch the dial

Don't think I've seen a murano on the road, they do look pretty good. Have you had it on snow and if so how did it handle?

Grand Cherokees are supposed to be one of the best offroad, had forgotten about that cheers.

A lambo LM002 :D

Luckily no snow (my business relies on the road network working)

Although it was pretty icy a few weeks back and I hardly noticed although a few cars in front were struggling.

But no real experience
