My father is looking to replace his old 1Ghz system with a new one for his business, he does a lot of image editing in photoshop & paint shop pro, and also deals with several very large excel spreadsheets at once, so he wants something pretty rapid to perform these tasks quickly.

He already has all the peripherals, including monitor, so all he needs is the base unit, including the case. A silent pc is desired also if possible.

He won't mind stretching to £550-600 but only if really necessary...
