spec me a 55" TV to replace 46" plasma

I'm moving the old (9 years) plasma TV to bedroom, so need a new TV for the living room.

I don't want to spend more than £1000.

i'm looking at PANASONIC VIERA TX-55CX400B but just because its only 749.. willing to spend a bit more if there are better options

Do not touch the CX400 range, it's complete garbage cheap crap.

I have this http://www.richersounds.com/product/tv---all/panasonic/viera-tx55cx680b/pana-tx55cx680b and find it fantastic, the new freeview play is really good, and the Smart system is much improved over previous attempts.

The CX700 is also a good TV but has poorer viewing angles due to it being 3D.

has to be sony if your buying lcd due to them using another colour for every pixel compared to other manufacturers.

ok so now you are costing me more money, woppy101s suggestion the
Sony Bravia KD55X85 4K Ultra HD LED 3D for 999 at John Lewis... anyone have any thoughts on this one? really want to go and buy now, don't think it will fit in the car though!
