Spec me a £700 rig!

You may have noticed I have done this before, but last time it had to include a monitor, now my mate has gone out and bought a monitor that's no longer included in the budget, so now it's £700 on a full rig, including a keyboard and mouse.

He is a semi-converted console gamer, he will be using it for gaming, a small bit of video editing and everything else he does. I was looking at an AMD rig with a new 6-series graphics card, but that's up for debate! Show us what you've got!

Thanks for the suggestions. Without windows thanks! I was kinda angling towards a CM Storm Scout case as that seems to be what he likes. What is your opinion on AMD v Intel at this price range?

I would personally go intel i5 760. Pretty much best you can get for gaming. The intel allows for a brilliant overclock as well

What I have specced here is a fast cpu but also the fastest ATI 6 series graphics card released, and a motherboard and psu for a crossfire option later on.

An amazing mouse and keyboard.

What you lose in the small difference in speed between this cpu and a i5 760 cpu is more than made up by the superior frames per second offered by the 6870 gpu.
