Spec me a 70th birthday man-bag

Dad is turning 70 and wants a replacement for his current man-bag.

Despite his age, he's quite a modern man. I'm sure he wouldn't mind a designer one, but not Gucci or anything like that.

Any suggestions? Budget around £200
 
I have cargo pants. I put everything in there - poo bags, doggy treats, loose change, a mask, tissues, a craft knife, a penknife, my buss pass, some of the folding kind, by plastic card card - no bag required !

That's nice for you, although I prefer to use public toilets if caught out and am yet to find a pair of cargo pants that will accept a laptop a mirrorless camera + 3 lens & spare batteries.

OP Has asked for advice on bags for his father, not advice if you think he is a knob or not!

I have one of these. My father (mid 70's) bought one after seeing mine.

Will last a lifetime if properly cared for and they are awesome bags. Not sure if they are "trendy" or not as I don't follow fashion, but I liked it for its look, practicality and quality.

Um......the poo bags are for the dog, not me. And I walk a lot with the dog so taking a laptop with this in mind is not practicable. Yes, I often take my camera with me with three different lenses. And knob ?. I have not accused called that so I think you should retract that statement.

Well considering you've quoted it, if I did, of which I would not even consider doing so, would be like that BBC early evening show - Pointless, which funny enough and I do apologise for going on so much, is the same as the reply you originally made ;)
