CPU is great. there is no need to have the i7 2600K as the i5 2500k performs exactly the same for gaming. also, the cooler should let you get a serious overclock on it.

just remembered you can save yourself a hell of a lot of money by going for a motherboard + processor bundle:
this is exactly the same as what i suggested before, but £25 cheaper

Not bad specs at all.

I would go for MSI/Gigabyte over ASUS however - fewer issues being reported and the MSI boards run cooler and clock better for a cheaper price.

"Budget" MSI board: Here
CF/SLI capable board: Here
Additional more costly board: Here

I would also swap the Akasa for the cheaper Titan Fenrir or the cheaper-still--but-not-quite-as-quiet Corsair A50 :)

GET THE gd65 msi board. You get dual bios, 8 sata ports, and if you want to run crossfire / Sli the PCIe lanes will run at x8 x8.

Its the board I got for my new build and I must say I am really pleased with it

The build I finished was just over 800 in total. YOu can see all the parts here

most of the parts were on this week only when I got them though so at normal price it might be a bit higher
