Spec me a £800 pc

Hi guys
This is my first time building a pc so i want to make sure iam not doing anything wrong. Currently i got this setup in mind. This pc will be mainly used for gaming.

Asus M2N-E (Socket AM2) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard (MB-147-AS) £82.19

AMD Athlon 64 3800+ 2.4GHz (Socket AM2) - Retail (CP-165-AM) £99.82

Thermaltake VB1000BWS Soprano SuperMidi Tower - Black (CA-015-TT) £50.47

GeIL 2GB (2x1GB) PC5300 667MHz Value DDR2 Dual Channel Kit (GX22GB5300DC) (MY-034-GL) £129.19

I want to make sure iam not gimping myself if i wanted to upgrade in the future and also that iam squeezing the most out of my money.

I would go Gskill RAM mate, everyone is using that DDR2 RAM... seems to be RAM of choice...

Also why dont you go dual core??

The main reason is that the cheapest dual core i can find is £200 for an AMD.

I`ve just ordered the exact same Mobo and CPU from overclockers..couldn`t afford a nice 7900Gt tho

The RAM i`ve chosen had got some good reviews, and being corsair you know its a reputable manufacturer! I ordered :

But if you`ve got the money, go for the PC6400C4.

Also, that CPU cooler, I know it says 940 but AM2 is a bit different, i`m not sure if it`ll attach onto the motherboard....can any1 else confirm/disprove this?? cheers.

looks good tho! defo get some quicker ram imo! And you`ll be flying. My stuff (in sig) arrives on monday!

Ah i forgot to change the cooler. Does anyone know a quiet AM2 socket cooler out there?

1gb corsair value
128mb 6600gt

Not meaning to be a pain, but that sig is far to long. I am pretty certain its 4 lines max
