Well, after quite a while of using my trusty old 2500XP-M I have decided it's time for a badly needed upgrade. Thing is, I haven't really kept up to date with all this new hardware thats out and coming out, and I am pretty lost :p So was hoping you fine people would'nt mind helping me out on a spec for a AMD AM2 system, Sli ready for about ~£900. Much thanks :D
 
Is there any particular reason you want AM2? Conroe is normally faster for the same amount of money or less. Also do you just need a base unit or do you also need keyboard, mouse, monitor, software etc?

I'm open to go Conroe aswell, no particular reason for AM2, what ever gets the best for performance for less really. I only need the base unit, have monitors/keyboard etc already sorted. Thanks :)
 
This may do although I have no idea how good the motherboard is, I picked it simply because it supports SLi although personally I think you'd be better with something like a Gigabyte DS3 or DS4 and just upgrading the graphics card as/when needed. :)
