Well spec my dad a bag really as it'll be his birthday present.

Needs to be a big durable briefcase/satchel type bag preferably in leather. He's already gone through a few leather ones over the years which have broke, only ever shopped in town which has a limited choice. The bag will be used every day and needs to handle a fair bit of weight, I'd estimate around 10kg.

I've done a bit of research and this Visconti bag is top of the list atm. Not sure if it's large enough though, will need to measure. That's the sort of bag we're looking for anyway.

But I will consider something like this.

Thanks.

this?

Can't say I frequent GD often, so the deliberate linking to the bag's I posted in the OP is lost on me.

The bag will be used for work. It will contain electrical items, stationary, papers, prescription pads, prescription drugs and some food.

Not looking for messenger bags, usually aren't sturdy enough nor big enough.

The Visconti I linked to is probably the minimum size required, the 2 alternatives mentioned so far are both smaller.

The funny thing is the Mens XL Visconti Hunter Brown Leather Briefcase Style 16038 you mentioned is the same size just about as the one I posted but no problem. I'm not the best with bags but I still like the BSMB.

Huh, it's smaller in every possible dimension?

Thanks all the same.
