Right, I have googled, but no joy.

I'm looking for a rechargeable power source that has a plug socket on it, in that I can plug stuff into it.

I know you can get uninterruptable power supplies for PCs and so on, and I'm after something like that, but portable, and doesn't need to be plugged in to use it.

Either charge by power, or by cranking it or something.

Like I say, I've tried my luck on Google, but not found anything. Someone on OcUK is bound to know :p

So if you could kindly point me in the right direction :)

What sort of stuff do you want to plug into it, and how long do you want it to run for?
Without those two items of information it's impossible to give an answer to the question, as a mobile phone uses less than a laptop, and a portable TV uses less than a halogen fire.
You can get inverters to take a normal car battery to 204vac, but whilst that would last a long time running some things, it wouldn't even start to run others (safely).

what wattage, and voltage are they?

If they are 12v or under the cheapest way would be a simple car adaptor that steps the voltage from a 12 car/bike battery down to the right voltage (as opposed to needing to step the voltage up with an inverter, then run a mains adaptor to get it back down to the right voltage).
