Hey guys, i'm looking at buying a new gas BBQ but am a little lost with the amount of brands out there. Ideally it would need to have a minimum of 3 burners, not to fussed about a side burner as i doubt i would use it, and ideally have cast grills or similar for easy cleaning and longevity. I tend to use the BBQ quite a lot during summer so again something that will last a good 5-10 years would be nice. Budget of £200-400. Cheers

Why Gas as that's like buying a dog and chasing the ball yourself?
Build one out of bricks sheet of stainless for under tray and some cast iron grill for cooking on.
Made on out of sheet steel bent up to shape welded join used cast iron long drain grill like what have along your drive then used wood to burn lobbed tats in tin foil inside it to cook while doing rest about Even the Ozzies at campsite said best Barbie they'd ever had taste was awesome.
Will outlast you.

Anytime a BBQ is mentioned, it descends into a gas vs coal discussion. OP has decided on gas, lets leave it at that.

What about the landmann rexon 4.1 seems to her good reviews can be had for 280 delivered or there's a 3.1 that can be had for 250

Weber would be my first vote as well however understand they are out of your price range.

Char-Broil review well and there are a few different models that fit in your budget that could be worth a look at.

OP, the Weber Gas bbqs are great, recently got a Weber genesis2 2 burner, but as said a 3 burner will cost more, just keep looking around. The build quality of the Weber is brilliant.

Agreed. Also @area51 what you've described is a grill, not a BBQ, so don't go deriding gas BBQs. BBQ should have a lid that is kept closed for majority of the cooking time.

Without a lid this is an incredibly one dimensional type of grill. Fine for knocking out a few sausages but you really can't do any large cuts, smoking, pizza etc.

Frankly thinking that is a good solution (and harping on about gas) discounts your view altogether as it's clear you are not well informed or particularly into barbecue.

On the gas vs charcoal both have their place. I have weber gas and (multiple) charcoal and use both. Gas can't be beat for immediacy and has a place.

May be have a look and see if you can pick up a previous gen weber for a bit less?

We got a Chargriller Duo 5050 a few weeks back, gas, coal, and a gas sideburner. Very happy with it.
Managed to bag one for £400, quite a discount of RRP.

My old man has had an Outback jobbie for many years - has a griddle/flat plate one side and lava rocks under the cooking bars (?) the other side. It was about your budget iirc

So im currently torn between either a Outback Magnum 3 burner or a Landmann Rexon 3.1. I'm edging towards the Outback as I've seen one in person and the build quality does feel great, but i would still have to fork out for a decent cover, where as the Landmann is £50 cheaper which can then be spent on the £50 Landmann cover.

Buy the better BBQ. Landmann cover for £50 is a rip off, you will pick up the same thing for less than half that if its not branded.

yeah I got a good cover from the rainforest shop for my Char-broil

fits perfectly and is really tough, kept it safe and dry all this winter and was only about 20 quid

My outback onyx 311 will be here tomorrow.

Any recommendations for must have had accessories?

A couple of good quality tongs, a brush for brushing bbq sauces over the meat, a decent spatula for flipping the burgers and a digital thermometer. At work I use a spray bottle filled with oil to oil up the grill if needed.
