Smashed the glass bit to my blender and although Tefal can send me a replacement jug, my gripe with this blender is that there was like a dead-spot when doing viscous things like purees and things didn't seem to flow towards the blade.

I use it for protein smoothies, blitzing nuts into powder, making purees/pesto/houmous and crushing ice.

My old blender was a Tefal fruit sensation. I will probably be using it as a food processor more than a smoothie maker but i would like to continue to use it as a smoothie maker.

Any recommendations?

I dont mind spending more but if its going to be silly amounts more, im tempted to get a replacement from Tefal and then a separate cheap chopper for things like pastes, sauces and puree's.

The Tefel i have comes with the standard blending blades as well as chopping blade and grinding blade. It handles everything but viscous things fine, where it seems to create a dead spot where unchopped food never gets to the blades. So a half decent mini processor and a replacement jug may be the answer. I was hoping to see what black friday has to offer.
