Normal goto : Aldis (so called) luxury museli good quality&value.

But also have unadulterated cereals : porridge w/regular or pinhead oats, shredded wheat
... Just saw Nestle have new shredded wheats
  • wheat barley & spelt
    [*]wheat rye & quinoa
are they any good ?

UPDATE : no rubbish : both adulterated hint of brown sauce (or was that sugar) and maple syrup plus bonus ingrediant palm oil

I have two favs.

1. Porridge + 1 Wheatabix + maple syrup = staple breakfast
2. 2 crumbled mini-blueberry muffins + instant porridge = blueberry porridge souffle!

Don't use the flavoured porridge's as they have a table sppon or 2 of sugar added.

I'd add rusks to the list but I eat those any time so don't count :)

Either quaker/scotch rolled oats for porridge (Oats So Simple types are naff rubbish) or if you actually mean 'cereal' then there is only one.

Kellogs Crunchy Nut. That is the only correct cereal.

Doesn't use flavoured porridge due to added sugar.

Will add maple syrup or blueberry muffins though :p

Best muffins to use are 1 or 2 day old office left overs as we have a kitchen at work so there's usually some lurking around.

I tried a scone once but it just didn't quite taste right for breakfast!

Used to have crunchy nut, but now I have porridge which is:

1) Very tasty
2) Customisable (add raisins, nuts, golden syrup, chocolate powder, cinnamon etc etc)
3) Highly nutritious and sustaining
4) Highly cost effective

Again, this.

I'm forever adding different things to my porridge.

Chopped walnuts were nice.
Sunflower and pumpkin seeds.
Banana.
Chopped ginger, to name but a few.

Will have to try the cinnamon, love that.

which type of cinnamon the real stuff ?
I tend to buy real online but have not done a significant comparison, but in addition to taste, if you use a lot 'some' reduced health issues
