Spec me a brilliant single player

Trust me get Riddick, its brilliant. Then go and play Deus Ex because its still genius. Oh and System Shock 2 should be a must play if you haven't played it yet, a good warm up for bioshock :D

£10 for one of the greatest series of all time. It doesn't get much better than this :)

Riddick's stunning. To say that this pre-dated both Doom 3 and Half-Life 2, the graphics are amazing (probably better than either). Soft shadows still are a huge hit on modern cards.

The voice-acting is very well done (xzibit, Dwight Schultz and VD of course). Diesel manages to sound like a proper tough guy without being irritating.

There are frustrating sections (the pit for one) though and it has a very adult theme (lots of strong language and graphical violence).

Actually Riddick came out on PC after both D3 and HL2.

The voice acting is cool, I recognised one of the guys you talk to in the prison yard as being Ramon Salazar from the 2nd(?) series of 24 :)
