Ok guys i'll be up front i know nothing about SFF

I have just got myself a Mini Lian Li case and am looking to build a budget base unit, nothing special no gaming to be done just the odd office stuff and internet browsing.

The case is a mini atx/itx and the maximum size of motherboard 7" x 7.5" (170x190mm)

I have the following:
Case
Optical Drive
Floppy Drive
3.5" HD (if i can use it)

I need everything else

Would like at least 512mb of ram

Budget as cheap as possible within the above "would like"

Many thanks

For Me It Would Be fanless Mobo:

EPIA M6000 £75

Or Non fanless but still quiet:

VIA EPIA MII 10000 £120

Type of motherboard and speed you wants depends on the cost really, i build one with the Epia 5000 motherboard, fanless but only 500Mhz, thats only £60. Or you can get the MII 120000 for like £150, which is excellent!

or you can then go DFI Pentium M, but Motherboarad and CPU can go to around £350!

Ram: I think you can get a max of 512 in the first, and 1gb in the last motherboard, so anything around £70 for the 1gb (making sure its the right kind!!) And the M6000 might need single sided ram.

The case you have i think fits any 3.5" HDD, so any drive will do, can get a nice 250gb one these days for around £60 so id stick that in, just make sure the PSU in the Lian Li is powerful enuff to drive a full size HDD and CDRW/DVD.

PS: You didnt happen to win this Lian Li on eBay last week did you?? I was bidding on one and lost :( lol

Cheers for the reply Scott, and sorry but yeah i that's the one!

There isn't a power supply included with the case so what would you recommend?

Have been browsing the auction site for bits to get a feel of what i should be paying for second hand gear
