Spec Me a Budget Wired ADSL Router.... (Please)

I'm looking for a new router in the ~£30 area, needs to have at least four ethernet ports and be good, they are the only requirements.

Have a safecom one at the moment but it keeps needing to be reset.

Don't mind the make.

Any suggestions welcome.

Linksys Etherfast BEFSR41 with 4port Switch built in. Alternatively etherfast
BEFSR81 with 8 port switch built in.

Do you need a built in ADSL modem? neither of the above have this, they will require extrenal modems for use with ADSL.

Yeah a built in one would be better, as I only have USB modems otherwise.

For ADSL i'd recommend getting something like the WAG54GS then. It has wireless but that can be turned off if not needed.

Can't seem to find it less than around £40, that seems a bit too much tbh.

Look for a Netgear DG834T on the auction sites, should cost you no more than £20 or so max.

Far better than Linksys for ADSL IMO, not least beacuse it has a broadcom modem chipset in it.
