Spec me a build £2000

I shall be back :) what is the upmost budget now OP?

Well I don't pay VAT but will have to pay hefty shipping/duty so they sort of cancel each other out so like £1600-1700ish not including VAT. Also have £50 quid off my next OC order so can factor that in. I prefer a single card solution over SLI and the case is not really negotiable (unless its another NZXT)

I been looking around at PSU's because I was quite a bit disappointed with my Corsair HX 1050W it goes from utter silence to full ramp in the blink of an eye on only one game (Mech Warrior Online for some reason) and its really annoying as my old PC was quite quiet in general.

Would this be a good purchase:

I know it might be a tad overkill but in the future I might be tempted to swap the 7990 for some other cards in Sli/Xfire so gives me some extra headroom.

White with a hint of blue :)

You could go for something like this and get a white 780?

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-051-KF&groupid=701&catid=1914&subcat=1341

If you suggest the 2 770's, why not suggest a 690? Just as good performance with better coolig and fewer bugs as no messing with sli. Yes it will look cool in the case but u would think it would be a better choice to get a 690, or as of late a 7990 for £500 or however much they are at the mo

That spec was 8 days ago.

Offers and prices change quickly and I have since put newer specs into this thread.

so my funds won't clear till Monday (hopefully tomorrow?) which is annoying as some of the bits I want are on offer this week. Will post a final spec soon unless someone posts something that is really awesome that all white build ethermaster posted was cool but I want the NZXT Phantom and a single GPU Solution preferably.

Now I have been mulling over my build in my head over and over and debating if to SLI or not for some reason I am unsure about getting a 7990 but I want a rig that will last me a few years. I could possibly stump up the cash for SLI 780's but is the performance gain that great? Also thinking about SLI 770's which are more reasonable.

Came up with this:

YOUR BASKET
2 x EVGA GeForce GTX 770 Classified ACX 4096MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card (04G-P4-3778-KR) £419.99 (£839.98)
1 x Intel Core i7-4770K 3.50GHz (Haswell) Socket LGA1150 Processor - OEM £269.99
1 x NZXT Phantom 820 Enthusiast Ultra Tower Case - White £199.99
1 x Seasonic 860w '80 Plus Platinum' Modular Power Supply £179.99
1 x Gigabyte Z87X-OC Intel Z87 (Socket 1150) DDR3 ATX Motherboard £167.99
1 x Samsung 250GB SSD 840 EVO SATA 6Gb/s Basic - (MZ-7TE250BW) £149.99
1 x Adata XPG Xtreme v1.0 16GB (2x8GB) DDR3 PC3-17100C10 2133MHz Dual Channel Memory Kit (AX3U2133XW8G10-2X) £139.99
1 x Antec Kúhler H2O 1220 Series 4 High Performance Liquid CPU Cooler £97.58
1 x Seagate Barracuda 2TB 7200RPM SATA 6Gb/s 64MB Cache - OEM (ST2000DM001) HDD £74.99
1 x Asus 24x DVD±RW DRW-24B5ST SATA ReWriter - Black (Retail) £23.99
Total : £2,168.59 (includes shipping : £20.10).

I don't pay VAT and even with shipping it will be under 2k.

I would go for a single 780 and pick up another one in the future but I fear that they will disappear in a while and where I live it will be hard to source another one second hand also if I plan to SLI I want the exact same card ( a bit OCD about that) and this is putting me off it.

Thoughts?

So my parts arrived and I started building my rig only to notice that the cooler had already been opened and previously used as parts were missing/broken and there was signs of used thermal paste as well as dust obviously I am sending it back but I have a spare air cooler (akasa venom) that I am going to use for the mean time.

I have the cooler mounted but it seems to block my top PCI-E lane would I notice any performance loss if I mount my 7990 on the second lane (x16 running at x8)

Thanks
