I'm delighted as my girlfriend has asked me to build her a new PC for her work.
She mainly works with animation projects, no gaming will be done unfortunately, unless you count the sims when she is bored.
The total budget she has given me is £500, for this I will need the following.
Processor
RAM
PSU
HDD (2TB 7200 rpm here would be ideal)
SSD (If possible within budget)
Motherboard
(Plus anything else I have forgotten)
I don't need a graphics card, I'll probably stick the one she has in it for now (I think a 460) as that can always be upgraded at a later date. She has been suffering with a pre-built HP desktop machine for years so I'd like to really put something decent together.
I do need a case, but I think I'll just buy one myself for her off the MM, I'd prefer to get the best components I can given it isn't the biggest budget.
As she uses mostly adobe software, toon boom and uses it to render projects, I'm unsure if Intel or AMD is best in this department.
Thank you in advance for any suggestions
