Total £2091.28

If you think i need any changes please let me know.

Many thanks

Change that processor to a Ryzen 5 1600 and the board to a Asus Prime B350-plus as the i5 6600k is 2 years old i think.

Also do u really need a dvd drive in that build? there is much nicer cases for less price that do not support them...

I love intel myself, built 3 ryzen 5's in the last few months, they the best bang for buck..
Also your windows can be downloaded from microsoft themselves, added to a usb drive and installed via that... No need for dvd drives these days unless u burning them rly :)

Really AMD are good now? So if i change over the build looks good?

Well in that case thats saved me £14 lol.

PSU seems massive overkill unless you plan on running about 4 1080s!

Monitor I'd go with something else too, even a 1440p 27" you'll struggle to read any text on it. 4k on a 24" would be unusable imo.

If you not gonna utilise the dvd drives then u could change the case and save maybey £40-50.. Look at cases like the be quiet pure base 600, NZXT s340 Elite, Phanteks P400s, Fractal Design Meshify C, Bitfenix Enso, AeroCool Project7 P7-C0 Pro or for the same price your spending now maybe the Corsair Crystal 570x...

You want the i5 8600K and a Z370 board.

Try and aim for 16GB Ram at 3000MHz - 3200MHz.

Do you need 4TB of storage ? In any case change them to the 7200rpm drives such as a Seagate Barracuda (Green label).

No need for a 1000W psu. A 550W is plenty for a GTX 1080. The Seasonic Focus Gold is very good.

You can get something like a Phanteks Enthoo Pro M for £90ish. A full tower is a bit OTT for a single gpu system.

A Corsair H115i or similar would save you £30 or so on the cooler. Or look at a good air cooler like a Cryorig R1 Universal.

You won't get great frame rates at 4K with a GTX 1080. Also 24" is a bit on the small size for that resolution. Also Freesync works best with AMD gpu's. You can still use a Freesync monitor with Nvidia but you won't get the variable refresh rate.

Why the pro version of Windows ? You can use Windows 10 without activating it for the time being and put the £100 or so towards components. Just buy a licence when you get the money. Only downside is you can't personalise it and you eventually get a watermark in the bottom right corner.

I’m looking at a similar spec after many years out gaming on a PS4. I am going prebuilt & overclocked this time and have been looking at the OCUK Germanium. Coffelake is a no brainer if going Intel. I was set on the i5 8600K but have read a lot of reviews and vids showing that my main game BF1 is CPU hungry and the i7 8700k performs really well. For the sake of £90 I will go 8700K.

This is the rig and you can downgrade case, gpu, ssd, remove rgb strips etc to get under £2k albeit no monitor (I already have a 27” 1440p dell):
