Hi folks,

I've been recommended to the forums by a friend who purchased his own rig from OC.

I am looking for a rig purely for games (mostly fps)

I have a budget of £1500 including tax, but may be able to stretch to £1600!

Any help received would be appreciated.

Thanks a bunch!

Cal

tower only and operating system?

Hi sorry totally forgot about the other information :(

Is the a massive difference in price regarding what I can buy for my money if I build it myself?

I have mouse/keyboard Monitors and OS.

Thanks for your help so far :)

not really massive but when they overclock it for you as well for me your not getting the hassle and also a better warranty etc

i'll do another one

to start off with use this page,

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/produc...385&subid=1951

take the unit you wish to have, i picked an i5 as most here says its the best option etc

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/syscon...odid=FS-291-OK

then just add any part you like to the build, yes you do need to know which parts do what more than others, not just pick the cheapest, the more they cost they seem to have more bits like more slots etc more sata etc but if not needed then a cheaper one would do, same as if you need 2 sli or crossfire cards pick a board which has the option, as i dont use them i just go for a board with what i want, which tends to be a lot cheaper.

down in price as altered a few bits but power is still there, video card is very good but not the top one, which could be added easy to the build but yes adds an extra £100 to it, storage is plenty for now, sli or crossfire not needed with a good single card for me, to do this yourself might save a bit, but then again it's the hassle if your not so happy with it, and i'd go and pay more for the warranty.

as you posted in the build section, this is what i've speced, if you want a price for just bits only, repost in the general section and there better people may do you a lot better spec than auto build etc

The important thing is your trying :) and I appreciate it.

On the back of your own suggestions and recommending me to go and have a look over there. I've done a little one myself for comment.

Thanks again!
