I presently have hanging around a C2D 6300, 4Gb PC2 6400 RAM, Radeon HD4850 and a 320Gb HDD. Can anyone spec me a system for the rest of the bits I'll need to make a computer for my son?

cheers

Peter

budget?

for a rough guide, a P45 chipset based MB and a decent 500W PSU (like a corsair) will be a good start

Looks like a nice quote and I can't see me sourcing the equivalent spec for the price. Just need to add in a copy of win 7 64 bit.

I'd reccomend a second hand mobo along with Stulid's spec, new 775 boards are overpriced and simply rubbish. The older Asus P45 boards clock beatutifully and have lots of features :)
