Why did I have a point until I did my fail comparison? I pointed out that the 6970 was not in competition with the 580 because of the price difference. As the 6970 is not the same price as a 580 then it clearly has not been a fail!
 
Freddie, you can pick up heavily discounted premium overclocked GTX480's for not much more than the average ref GTX570's price.

As long as your case cooling and PSU are up to the job, you should get performance within 5-10% of a stock GTX580.

PSU is 600W case is 700d with 3 top outtakes, card will be in bottom slot, CPU air going out back, bottom fan pulling up, would i be able to do it,temp wise?
