Need some ideas here and am pretty stuck.

A side window would be a plus but not necessarily a requirement

Here's what I've got so far

Corsair 550D OK but is really a budget case - poor cooling
Corsair 600T nice looks... not keen about the front doesn't really perform as good as it looks
Xigmatek Elysium ??? Looks the bees knees possibly too much volume for decent airflow
Antec P280 - looks like it can deliver
RV02/03/FT02 might be outside budget

Depends what you want it for really?

Basically are you planning on watercooling?

If you're looking for good airflow cases:
RV03, FT02, HAF X, 600t maybe.

Watercooling in that price range is:
Elysium/Switch 810, maybe the Shinobi XL, HAF X is again quite good for Wcing with some modding.

For the record, the 550D and R3 are both better cases than the P280. 550D or R3 are the Silent cases with reasonable ariflow.

Seems like a pretty big price range to me.

Corsair 650d?
NZXT Phantom?
Aerocool X-Predator Ultimate Gaming Case - Black/Green (Looks wicked)

You got a lot of choice really so just go with what appeals to you

I have no idea why anyone would buy the Phantom over the Switch 810.

Same company, so same build quality, but the Switch 810 is the natural, epic progression from the Phantom. The Switch 810 is miles better so long as you can stomach the 'plasticy' look...

Had a brief look at the Anidees AI-06B ... Great looking case but seemed a little unrefined on the interior....

EDIT fans look iffy ... fan controller is a joke but the exterior is really gorgeous.

Cross hairs are on the 600T but I'm giving the Anidees another look

Yeah, the Anidees is a bit of an enigma for me at the moment. They're not a big enough company for me to have seen reviews on their cases whereby I'm happy to openly recommend them, but the case looks absolutely stonkingly gorgeous. The fans looking a bit iffy, with your budget you could put in some nice aftermarket ones. Same with the fan controller I guess.

600T is as you said in the original post really. It's a good quality case, and looks nice, but doesn't perform as well as it looks.

Yeah I searched around and saw one of your earlier posts.

KD I was thinking exactly the same wrt the fans .... ' Anidees with upgraded fans ' :)

Well someone's got to give 'em a try ... it may just be me. Will decide in the morning

Yeah, I guess someone does xD

Fan wise, I'd probably go with the 120mm mounts because they're better, then probably stick the Noctua's that are in your P182 judging by your sig into the Anidees...

Yeah this is for a new gaming room rig so everything's going to be new

pfft must upgrade sig when I put together my 3770K ... I've got 4 rigs to get through over the weekend ... it's going to be **** - hope it rains :D

Can we mention Caseking ? They seem to do this case - need some on ocuk please :)

**** me .... I should spend less time on competitors websites LOL

For some reason I would have preferred the one with sound dampening foam. Let me see if there's a kit I can get.

Cheers KD

If Caseking do one with sound dampening foam (I can't be bothered to check right now), then I'd just post in the Customer Service forum and ask if they can do one at OcUK for you. I'd imagine if Caseking can do it, then they could get it done pretty easily at OcUK for you...

edit: Just checked, (meh I'm bored), and the Caseking case, definitely looks like it's one done by the guys at Caseking, so I'd just get in touch with OcUK.

Considering their array of 'silent cases' already (http://www.overclockers.co.uk/productlist.php?groupid=2180&catid=2195), I'd be surprised if they weren't willing to do this for you. For a slight fee I'd imagine. Or at least provide some kind of kit. Worth asking I'd say anyway.

I bought mine when the Switch 810 wasn't out =(, I agree the switch is leaps and bounds better, The Phantom however is still nice =)
