for <=£100. I quite like the look of the Thermaltake Tsunami, but I worry if it'll fit an 5850 in. I then looked at the Antec 902, which I like the look of but I absolutely HATE being able to see optical drives, so its a big no no...

I'd like a window, good airflow and some way of hiding the optical drives (my current case has little flaps that get shifted when the drive ejects), everything else is up in the air, I only need 1 HDD bay and 1-2 optical bays, so... yeah :D

EDIT:
Or a good case under £50 without a window, at which point I'll get one cut myself.

I was going to suggest the storm scout, but that leaves the front open so you can see the optical drives too. Its a brilliant little case, so i'd consider it.

I was just looking at that and wondering if it was open... its a shame really... I need to find out if the Tsunami would actually fit the 5850 in I guess as its the only case I've found which I truely like the look of :(

I'm sure it will. The Storm scout is one of the smallest Mid tower cases and i've managed to fit two 5850's in there, i doubt it is smaller than the scout.

From what I can see, the Tsunami is actually smaller.

Scout: (D)489 x (W)219 X (H)495.5 mm
Tsunami: 495 (H) x 210 (W) x 478mm (D)

I believe depth is going to be the defining issue with fitting in a graphics card, and I'm not sure if those dimensions take the door into consideration, if they do then the case is even smaller yet

If you can stretch a touch more Id look at the antec P183, cracking case, fits your needs, is 507mm in depth (514high and 205wide) has front door, keeps in a lot of noise, and is available just over a ton, out of stock here atm unfortunately
Edit: sry missed the window requirement

Ok, thats a nice case :) I Just hope that either its not glossy black or its one of those nice scratchproof cases. I'll be looking into that for sure!
