Hello guys, I'm moving my PC into the living room and I have a giant of a case it's the Corsair 750D. I would like to downsize a lot if anyone can find me a smaller case. My Motherboard is a ASUS Maximus VI Hero I have a GTX 780 and a AX1200I PSU.

As it's going into your living room is relative silence important and would you like light emission reduced as much as possible?

An example of an inconspicuous, silent orientated case and no windows:

Looks good to me. Can you please confirm this will fit my components? Any chance of anything smaller. I'd like it to be as small as I could possibly get. I know my M/B is full size which is the issue.

Could you list your spec for reference - including cooler (i know it's the bargain PC).

You can get smaller - but how important is the relative silence?

This is considerably smaller in height - you will need to conform that your cooler will fit:

NOTE: Maximum Compatibility: VGA Card length: 310mm / PSU length: 160mm / CPU cooler height: 150mm

I like that case! This is my spec.

Corsair AX1200i 1200W power supply with custom white braided cables
Sapphire Radeon 7850 1GB GDDR5 graphics card

So I don't really have a case option unless I buy a new PSU?
There may be a small midi-case but with my limited searches i can't find one. You will have to trawl through all the smaller midi cases and look at their dimensions...

You could sell your AX1200I as you don't need that much power - you could survive easily with half the wattage - and get a decent standard ATX PSU in its place giving you more options.

It's an insane PSU in your spec - see below:

Total: £340.49
(includes shipping: £10.50)

Ok thankyou for your help. I'll probably do that then! Could you spec me a decent PSU that is more than what I need for my spec. And I'll pick up the case and PSU and claw some money back on selling the PSU.

All quality units and wil cover you if you get a 1080 in the future - or 1080ti with the 750W.

Thankyou sorry but anything around £50 region as I would like to pick up the case and psu for no more that £150

One of these PSUs is not like the others,
One of these PSUs doesn't belong (because it's better... :))

Cheers for your help. Will probably go for the EVGA. Wouldn't mind sticking with Corsair though. Keeping the case and psu same brand. Would this be ok? 550W. I think GTX 780 Recommended PSU is 450W

I deliberately didn't pick the VS.

I think GTX 780 Recommended PSU is 450W

If you're not planning on upgrading your GPU to a more power hungry model anytime soon then this will do:

Haha reasoning for deliberately not picking the VS? I'll go for the EVGA 600W

The corsair VS is not at the quality/standard that you would expect from a Corsair model.

The VS model has had quite a few issues (you may not) uses cheap Chinese capacitors and from forum banter (here and on other forums) this particular unit suffers from poor voltage ripple which isn't ideal...

Ok I'm torn between the EVGA 600W and the XFX XT 600W. Pick me one Plec? I'll go with your expert opinion.

Both much of a muchness - and i'm not an expert on PSUs. You need pastymuncher - he really knows his way around the insides of units.

Both have 3 year warranties - I would toss a coin...
