My cat is really moulting in this heat but she isn't a normal long haired cat....fairly standard shorthair but with the heat the fur is coming ocf a good bit. Would be nice to brush it off her even if it means the cat not shedding in the house for a couple of days.

What do I even look for in a cat brush lol :p

Supermarket or pet store

Look in the aisle for pets
Find the brush that says "cat comb"

Looks like a nit comb if you know what they look like

Without a second thought mate, get a Furminator!

Pricey but they're worth it.
Will brush off the excess from the top coat but they also brush out from the undercoats too :)

My small cat has pretty short hair and I've just taken a huge amount off her today.Had one of those plastic nit type combs from the supermarket was rubbish compared to this.

I've found the double brush head type to be the best. Bristles on one side and spiky metal on the other. Somehow the spiky part is irresistible and extremely satisfying for them to tear their face off it

Yes, really! Not usually that bad but it has been hot! Should've done it sooner.

She is the hairiest cat in the world, I have the vacuum cleaner out all the time. When I come down in a morning I have to try and avoid her winding round my legs because my trousers will be covered in hair. She would be starting to get pretty matted if left alone for a month - we learnt our lesson there when she ended up at the stage that we couldn't get them out and she had bald legs for a while after having to have them shaved!
